With sales of more than 12 million printers, Oki Data Americas, Inc. is one of the leading PC printer manufacturers in North America. While Oki Data enjoyed a leadership position in the dot matrix printer market, the organization struggled to position and sell its industry-leading color printers, and faced difficulties with re-seller knowledge and effectiveness as well. In addition to these challenges, Oki faced significant internal employee issues such as: a lack of critical sales skills, a lack of motivation, low morale, and sales team resistance.
